Hi my name is Gaby, I live in Montevideo, Uruguay, student of information technologies and usually found by the moniker “n0v4c4n3″, “0443” or just “Gaby” for my homies, speak Spanish, English and learn Chinese. I like to code and develop software however I know database, testing and server management. To me, it’s not about the total number of things I’m able to do, it’s about identifying me with something and doing it well, I’m always trying to learn new stuff and be a better at what I do, being that what keeps me motivated. My username comes from the frustrated result of searching a unused nickname in a IRC client long time ago where I ended mixing a song name with numbers of a SSL port, the word was “novacaine” and I end stylizing it as “n0v4c4n3″ whereas the “0443” stands for the secure SSL port, in other words it aims to represent the two things that defines me, music and technology.
About my personal side, to wind down from the studies I also do things related to technology like developing some little projects and reading books about it, my life is mostly about that, after all. I love to compose music and play instruments such as piano and guitar, create songs using Ableton and FL Studio and hear classical music even though my favorite music genre is minimal and chill-out. Some of the projects I spent a lot of my free time are, a relay server hosting a bast collection of vsts and audio samples, an engine called Ren ‘Py, a osu! mirror site and a tracker server. My second home is at Milan where I go usually to chill and forgot about the usual stuff. I’m crazy about football specially for Peñarol and Milan. I don’t use any site related to Facebook like Whatsap, Instagram or whatever they touch but If you need something don’t hesitate to contact me at the sites up there specially Twitter or Line.
I want to add value to people’s lives and pass on helpful ideas about life, contribution and relationships. Life isn’t always exactly how we thought it would be. It can get complicated. I don’t want to surrender. I want to work through life’s complexities to find what many people call “simplicity on the other side of complexity”. My philosophy is that it’s worth to be more with less and transferring it to technology it means to keep it simply, clean avoiding intrusive ads and when that lines up with content strategy, clarity wins and will end in happy results.
